Fleet Hire Services, the parent company of West Wallasey Car Hire Limited, was launched by the present Managing Director and Operations Director in 1974, specialising in the service and repair of commercial vehicles and cars. Three years later West Wallasey entered the commercial vehicle hire market, focusing on the corporate and local authority markets.

Our ambitions are to remain No. 1 across the UK for service and continue to provide new vehicles on demand, for our business partners. We aim to expand our current fleet  to 12,500 + units over the next few years.

About Us

Fleet Hire Services currently operates a fleet of over 12,500 cars and light commercial vehicles from a single facility on the Wirral. We supply our vehicles to large and small companies throughout the United Kingdom.

Fleet Hire Services, and its subsidiary West Wallasey, have corporate headquarters overlooking the M53 motorway and close to the Mersey Tunnel at Wallasey. The ultra-modern office block of 45,000 square feet on a six and a half acre site, is the new home of all the groups' sales, administration and technical facilities.

All aspects of West Wallasey's business are controlled from this facility, offering its customers the personal access and availability to senior management and Directors at all times. West Wallasey currently employs a fully trained and skilled workforce of over 200 personnel, dedicated to customer satisfaction.

There is no pre-set rental period, so you can on hire, off hire or change your vehicle type (including vehicle specification) at any time without termination penalties.
